You're tired. Not just regular tired–the kind of tired that doesn't go away with a good night's sleep

(if you're even getting those)

Maybe your brain won't stop running through worst-case scenarios. Maybe your body holds tension you can't seem to release. Maybe you're constantly on edge, even when nothing is technically wrong. Or maybe you've just been in survival mode for so long you've forgotten what it feels like to rest without guilt.

Anxiety isn't just overthinking. Stress isn't just "too much on your plate." They live in your body–in the tightness, the urgency, the exhaustion, the way your system never fully settles.

You're not broken. Your nervous system learned how to protect you. And now it might be time to help it feel safe enough to rest.

Anxiety isn't just overthinking.

What anxiety and stress can look like

Sometimes it's loud–racing thoughts, panic, a pounding heart. Sometimes it's quieter–a constant low hum of dread, exhaustion that doesn't lift, a body that’s always bracing for what’s next.

You might recognize some of this:

  • Pressure to do more, be more, and hold it all together

  • Trouble slowing down without feeling guilty

  • Irritability or emotional overwhelm that surprises you

  • A brain that won't turn off, especially at night

  • Feeling on edge even when things are "fine"

  • A sense that you're functioning on the outside but falling apart underneath

If your stress has been dismissed as "just how life is" or your anxiety has been chalked up to being "too sensitive"–I want you to know that what you're experiencing is real, and it makes sense.

A nervous-system-first approach

We don't treat anxiety by forcing calm. We don't push past the discomfort or tell your body to "just relax."

Instead, we slow down and get curious about what your nervous system is asking for. What does it need to feel safe? What patterns developed to protect you–and are they still helping you now?

Sessions might include:

  • Understanding how your stress response actually works

  • Noticing patterns without judgment

  • Building regulation skills that fit your real life

  • Practicing being present at your pace

  • Pacing change in a way that feels sustainable

Relief doesn’t come from pushing harder. It comes from creating safety, trust, and room to respond differently.

The anxious part of you isn't actually the enemy

A lot of anxiety treatment focuses on getting rid of the anxiety. I take a different approach.

The anxious part of you? It's protective. It learned something a long time ago about what wasn't safe, and it's been working hard ever since. We don't silence that part–we get curious about it. What is it trying to prevent? What does it need now?

I weave together parts work, narrative therapy, and emotion-focused approaches. We look at the stories underneath the anxiety like: "I should be able to handle this," "If I stop, everything will fall apart", and make room for ones that feel more true.

And sometimes we laugh. We celebrate even small wins. Healing doesn't have to be heavy all the time.

Questions about anxiety & stress therapy

  • You don't need to meet some threshold to deserve support. If anxiety or stress is affecting your life, that's absolutely enough.

  • That's more common than you'd think. Sometimes it's about fit with the therapist, the approach, or the timing. We can talk about what didn't work and what might be different here.

  • Yes–but ones that actually fit your life. We're not going for generic strategies that sound good on paper but don't hold up when things get hard.
