I'm a trauma therapist, clinical supervisor, and speaker based in Pennsylvania. 

I've spent over a decade in the mental health field, and I still get excited about this work–the moments when something clicks, when someone finally feels seen, when my client starts to feel like healing is possible.

My superpower as a therapist is presence. I show up fully–not as a blank slate with a clipboard, but as a real person who's going to be honest with you, laugh with you, and sit with you in the hard stuff without flinching.

I believe you can hold depth and lightness at the same time. That therapy can be serious and human. 

That we can do deep work and still breathe.

Why I do this work

I'm a first-generation Latinx, LGBTQIA+ woman. I grew up in a multigenerational household where education, community, and family were central. Those values–and that lived experience–shape how I show up as a therapist.

I don't take it lightly when someone trusts me with their story. I know that finding a therapist who truly gets your experience can be hard, especially if you've felt unseen or misunderstood before.

That's why I lead with cultural humility. I'm always learning. I don’t assume I know your experience—I ask, I listen, and I stay open to what matters most to you.

How I think about therapy

I think of therapy a bit like walking through a house you've lived in for years–but with fresh eyes and someone steady beside you. Some rooms feel familiar. Others have been locked for a long time. 

We move at your pace, with curiosity and care lighting the way.

You're the expert on your own life. You've developed ways of coping that made sense at the time. My job isn't to judge those strategies–it's to help you figure out which ones still serve you and which ones might be ready for a tune up.

What it looks like in the room

I integrate EMDR, parts work, narrative therapy, and emotion-focused approaches–but more than any technique, I pay attention to what's happening in your body and your nervous system. I hold space for the full picture: your relationships, your culture, your history, and the parts of you that are still figuring things out.

Therapy here isn't rushed. It's an intentional conversation–one that helps you reconnect with yourself at a pace that feels right to you.

What fuels me

Creating a space where people feel truly visible. That's what keeps me loving this work year after year.

From my lived experience as part of underrepresented communities–and in serving them–I understand how powerful it is to have someone bear compassionate witness to your life. Especially in those moments when you can't see your own strength.

Why "The Intentional Conversation"?

The name reflects what I believe about therapy: that purposeful, honest dialogue is where healing happens. Not rushed. Not performative. Just real conversation with intention behind it.

And the logo? The butterfly and caterpillar reflected in the mirror represent the kind of growth that happens when we look at our full experience–who we've been, who we are, and who we're becoming.

Life has seasons. Sometimes you leave parts of yourself behind when they no longer fit–while knowing those parts are still with you, still part of your story. Therapy is a space to ask: What do I want to carry forward? What am I ready to set down?

You carry your history with you, but you're not stuck there. In our work together, we honor all of it.

I've also published and presented on topics including Latinx counselor experiences, cultural considerations in therapy, trauma-informed care, and the role of neuroscience in counseling.
